the 800s have these too. and that little switch for vinyl mode is sweet. 800s also have different drum loops which is nice but 1000s are the daddies cos they have more loops and memory etc.

do the 1000s have the super pitch where you can change it between +/- 10 or +/- 100?

we had some fun with that and there is a button that no matter what pitch it is it stays in note? ie doesnt get hamster vocals if the pitch is right up. was fucking well good fun. cany wait for tonight :D

I didn't think they had the reverse :dunce: :dunce: sorry!

The mk2 1000 has the plus 100% pitch but the mk1 1000 only has pitch upto 24% (Who needs anymore than that anyway?)

The button that keeps the pitch is called the master tempo.. Master Tempo locks the pitch of the track even when you change the speed. You can speed up or slow down the beat without any noticeable difference in how the vocal and instruments sound.

They don't take very long at all to get used to. Just got some 800's and well impressed. If you've got money to spare then the CDJ1000 MK2 have a few more desirable features but you've got to ask if you're willing to pay 250-300 more for each one

i prefer using my cd deck to vinyl now. much easier to manipulate the jog wheel than a platter. no spinning the record back/moving the needle, its just class.....

Problem is that the pioneers are becoming the technics of the cd world, as far as installations in clubs are concerned.

I can imagine alot of punters care less about how superior brand x is to the one everyone uses, and instead pimp for the one they know superstar dj/club Y uses.
