i was quoted 2k from 2 places for a good respray on my scooby

so i bought all the stuff last month, and painted it myself, fucken doddle, and the new paintjob stands me under £300, including buying a nice new machine polisher.

FWIW i dont really like "bodykits" unless there a factory option, the thing about 3rd party bodykits is they tend to look dated in a year or 2, where as the factory stuff ages much better IMO.

    new paint job ;)

i would not like to add up how much this car has cost me in the past 3 years, i honestly rekon its over 5k in parts (it was 2k for a simple engine rebuild last year)

goes like the clappers mind, and is running about 350bhp @6500 300lbft @5000 rpm

LOL no, the £1500 is for the kit, have them fit it and spray it. front spoiler, rear spoiler, rear bumper and side skirts :)

not a bad job lookin at it kidda, I'm to lazy to do anything myself and I always like the added bonus of the "if they f*ck it up they have to sort it out" policy

If you get a kit make sure its the polyurethrane kind and not fibreglass... Not only does it spray better, but it doesnt look like shite the minute someone reverses into you.... The paint also ages better...

Engine work is a proper nob on most of the time as well as aftermarket parts tend not to fit anywhere as near as well as stock parts especially if they're cheap. They will also nacker the engine out quicker as most of it is under increased strain. On normally aspirated cars things like exhausts/air filters normally knock torque off the lower range making the car less relaxed to drive... On turbo's tuning is a great deal easier even though the reliablity issues still apply....

I would jump at the chance to own a scooby..

Granted they have been given a bad rep.. but they are still gorgeous cars imo.
