it isnt degrading at all - maybe for us - but not for them....its more than they get where they came from isnt it? its helping them out....i think it is something like 3 x the benefits of english ppl on benefits they get (anyone care to confirm) - i think the british people on benefits would accept stamps or anything if they were gonna get 3 x more the value...im sure i wud.

i dont mind ppl who genuanly need helpgetting help, i just find it a bit strange as to where the reasoning is of giving people who come her for a new life etc more than residents....

there are people here who need the help - i dont deny that...but there are a LOT who come over n take the piss...for free nhs etc etc...

Its was £36 last time I checked and I think dole is £42, the dole rat gets cash the asylum seeker is allowed upto £10 of his vouchers in cash... Only certain shops accept benefit vouchers so they're limited to what they can buy and where they can shop.

And what do you mean "what they're used to" and "where they are from", they're fucking human - they're no different from you and me, the only difference is they're likely to be killed/raped/imprisoned if they ever return to their homeland and are likely to of gone through living hell.... If anything they deserve to be treated with more respect than you and me!

They're not third class citizens, if we grant them asylum they should have the same rights as us!

hmm - am not sure those figures are correct - cud be wrong tho...but dont asylum seekers get like free bus passes and things like that? am sure its a fair bit more than residents get.

You claim they get bus passes, large benefits, etc.
They get £36.54, pensioners get £78 with a shit load of benefits.

You claim we let too many in
We granted 54% assylum in 2000, 46% of which were from the former Yugoslavia, Somalia, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan... Doesn't take rocket science to work out these are probably genuine.

Agree completely but in reality britain holds 1% of the world 21 million refugees... The vat majority are in undeveloped countries.
