Can I walk out of my job?

Wow, what a coincidence - I could be in the very same situation tomorrow, and also for an electrical engineering company.

I would rather not work even 1 weeks notice, as I just can't take the boringness of the work.

I plan to speak to the original recruitment agent who found me the job, let her know the score and I am hoping she will sort it out with the company.

If it comes down to it I may actually just leave, I dont need or want a reference from them and I wont ever mention it on my CV, as I have only been there 3 weeks.

I think If I was running a business and was confident it was a good business (why would I run it if I didnt like it) and someone came to me with some half baked story for a 6 week gap and then were to meet someone with a 6 week gap who said they didn't like the job and thought it best for them if they leave, I know who I would take.

Balls. Thats what people need. What does a 6 week gap matter? I have gaping holes of years and months between mine, never stopped me getting a job?

there are ways around this, dont mention the job and say your parents have been supporting you.
