Why is this thread still going?

All you have to do Chris is take it onto Carfone Warehouse or Fone Logistics (both authorised nokia service centres) and they will either fix it or get u a replacement.

Stop looking for sympathy and get it done! :p

    your missing the point.

regardless where you bought it, it is a NOKIA phone. part of their job is to repair NOKIA fones that are still under warranty.

stop trying to find holes in their service and go get it fixed, cpw is probs open today as well but the engineer may only be in mon-fri...ring them.

It will be the same at Orange mate, if you bought the phone off them and its still under warranty they are under obligation to fix or replace the phone.

If they tell you otherwise theyre lieing.

The reason you need insurance is incase the fone gets stolen or broke as a result of user damage like dropping it down the toilet.

The warrany covers stuff like if it just stops working for no reason in the year since you bought it.

Trust me it aint, if you bought it direct from Orange and it becomes faulty within the 1st year the manufacturer of the handest eg Motorola have to fix it, unless you have Orange care.

Trust me i worked for them for 2 years dealing with that exact scenario ;)

The contract you have with Orange is for the network ie being able to send/recieve texts/calls NOT for the actual handset :)
