    May be hope for your rufus, RADSL comes out next year which extends the reach of consett's exchange so u could still get 256kbs

    Depends what package it is, if its 512 (half a meg) then its good download, little pants upload speed.

    If its a 1mb connection then its crap!

    My test results:

    Downstream 472 Kbps (59.0 KB/sec) 509 Kbps (inc. overheads)
    Upstream 111 Kbps (13.9 KB/sec) 119 Kbps (inc. overheads)

    Blueyonder Broadband.

    Yet when I download stuff the KB rate is normally faster. What a shite upload speed...I've not tried this yet like.
