I understand Newcastle Council proposed to remove the word christmas from some of their literature, and replace it with festive or winter, to be politically correct, which is beyond a joke fooking bollocks!

It does exist, albeit not as common as they make out but it is happening in schools and stuff.

the winter festival was a festival for the whole of december. they didn't call it a christmas festival cos it wasn't a christmas festival. It was nothing to do with political correctness. It was done instead of spending the whole budget on new years eve which has happened in the past only to get snowed off.
