I think Britain is definately going through a bit of a social upheaval at the moment.

It tends to happen as governments come and go .... I think the current labour lot are going to face some make or break decisions when parties like the tories decide to use things like the worrying media coverage about stabbings and immigration in their manifesto's as reasons why we should vote them in.

I can see people going for a change, if that change involves things like building more prisons, putting more police on the street, curbing immigration and generally doing something about alot of the dissatification people have with great britain at the moment.

    The tide is turning.

I think you're pretty well spot on.

It only takes a week or two in a third world country to realise that most of our problems are insignificant, and a week or two in the states/europe to realise that noone really has it any better than us.

Most homeless people don't have a home because of there lifestyle.. If i got booted out of my parents house and lost my job I wouldn't have to live on the streets and nor would anyone on this forum. It's usually alco's and druggies that don't have homes and even if that's the case theres still places they can go for help.

it was on a news article the other day that income support claims have increased by 57000 since the poles have been invading us. they are also allowed to claim benefits for children that still live in poland. shocking

I work with loads of polish people, just means you get to treat them like they've got the mental age of a six year old and speak to them in patronising broken english voices and get no more of a retaliation than a stupid blank face. More like them please

its relative. Its like saying you're skint because you've only got £20 till payday but compared to a refugee in Sudan you are absolutely loaded.

Either way, after a weekend in the sun, I now love Britain again :king:

I personally think the recent influx of Polish migrants is a good thing.

They have come to work from what I've experienced, and seem decent people in the whole.

I just think the state of Britain and the fact Birmingham has whites as the minority that makes me laugh.

They cant half polish a car like!

I still think your best migrant is your good ol Chinese person. Good grafters, dont whinge, turn up on time, not that bothered about the nightlife. I have found your younger Euro migrant start off well but soon get sucked into being no better than your lazy Brit.
