The weather is so bizarre this year. It feels like Autumn already and it seems to get dark really early aswell.

I know what you mean but...

There is nobody in the UK (legal citizen) who cannot afford to put a roof over their head, clothes on their backs, food in their mouths and get good (world class) medical care.

You can rent flats in any northern city for fuck all, it's all about what people want, not what they need in the UK, it has been for all of our lives.

All of the people who moan about how hard life is in the UK need to go live in a country with no social security for a while. I'd love to take all the work dodgers and leave them in Thailand for 2 years, Darwin would pick them off like flies.

That was a bit of a rant wasn't it?!

I think its quite funny that houses that were built for the poorest workers in society only 50-100 years ago .... are now classed as aspirational places to live for this generation (terraces etc).

If things are so great, why has the real purchasing power of our money been in steady decline for a long long time.

All those ipods, designer brand name clothes and tv shows dont seem to be turning out a happy bunch of people ....

.... on the flip side, life is what you make of it :)

My dad has just said to me "you know how I asked you if you ever saw people carrying knives the other month and you laughed in my face, well some 11 year old boy just got shot in the head so I must be right"

Which pretty much sums up the mentality I was trying to tell him about. It doesn't make him any more likely to get shot or that the countries gone to shit.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Britain at the moment

Do you really think thats true?

Our medical care isn't World Class for a start

    heres one example

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/health/article2296368.ece

1 in 4 people in the UK live below the poverty line

    http://www.oxfamgb.org/ukpp/poverty/thefacts.htm

4 in 1000 people in the UK are homeless

    http://www.homelesspages.org.uk/Areas/..\areas\area.asp?ccode=01AA

Considering we are meant to be one of the richest and highly developed countries in the world, this is unacceptable.

Dont get me wrong, I love living here but alot of that is because of my friends and family...I find the majority of general public to be a bunch of selfish, ignorant, rude arseholes.
