And the masses is mainstream, if you want to go by that rule promise would be better going cheesy.

I would come down more if there was techno.

Hardcore doesn't know his hard house from his Gabba... he called scot project and yoji biomehanika hard house dj's... the word clueless springs to mind :D

As for hard house yes the odd dj can work: Rob Tissera

As for techno the odd dj can work: Mauro Picotto

Variety is the spice of life if promise stuck to one mundane formula it would get boring fast.... Every club varies it line up's every now and then and the odd different dj rarely does the club harm (as long as they fit into the policy :D)

Im not saying change the music policy im just saying its a weekly club so maybe have a set monthly pattern of what is going to get played on that nite or mix and match with the genres.

Don't get me wrong, I wud like to see the Tidy Boys at Promise, they opitamise (excuse my shit spelling) what clubbing is about really, fun, but I just wasn't sure how they would go down at Promise. I know they wud play hard trance and the music wud be cool but I didn't think they wud pull a very good crowd but as stated many times before.....what the fuck do I know? :D

thats is not the point im trying to make.

so wot if a different DJ plays all ur fav tunes an the 50 peeps that didnt like the first DJ (u being one of them) like him but the 50 that thought the fist DJ was gr8 dont like this DJ, bearing in mind that u think that this DJ is realy good, i mean like u said he hasent entertaind the masses but he still entertaind u! does that still make them shite?
like u said its a matter ov opinion, if i like thos 50 tunes that he plays then wot does that make him? he wouldnt b shite would he? just cos a DJ plays tunes that u dont like dosent make them shite, it just means that they dont play the the tunes u like, it has nothing to do wit the DJ's musical capability?:)

I cant be arsed to read this thread its to long.

But I hope this hasnt turned into ANOTHER pointless FIGHT over shit which no one will ever agree on, because at the end of the day everyone has different tastes, and so no one will ever find the solution!!!!!!

Well heres a clue, there is no solution!!!!!!

For example, I dont believe mixing is that important, others do!

If ive jumped the gun here im sorry!!!

I didn't mean the wrong crowd, I meant the numbers!!! I thought that the Tidy Boys would be immediatly associated with HH by most people, a l0ot of which would be put off! I'm probably wrong tho, usually am!!! :p
