Hardcore strikes me as an illiterate wind-up or a mackem.

I personally think the tidy boys would go down well@promise, I know I'll get slated for saying this but they to play a lot fo hard trance and suit a lot of the more fun going promise fans.

Unlike crasher promise does have a die hard self concious trance crowd some of the most popular dj's would get laughed out of crasher:

    John Kelly
    Rob Tissera
Eddie Halliwell (by the die hard crasher kids anyway)
    Kerry James

Unlike the crasher crowd the promise crowd is more into having fun rather than spotting which dj can drop the most bonzai records... Their are a few trance die hards (technofish, geordie, bigdave, etc.) but on the whole most of the promise punters are more into having a good time than worrying about if a dj is socially acceptable.

I think a tidy hard trance set would go down well @ promise...

the average promise punter doesn't know their armin from their armand....

big name dj's always pull crowds at promise and fun dj's all go down well @ promise...

    why wouldn't they work?

If it's hard trance then yes I don't see the problem, the point I'm making is these hard house 4eva kids who want to try and change the club, it's almost like they want their own little sundissential north at promise, something alittle on their own door step so they dont have to travel as far! You know the people I'm talking about Joe and if it was upto them they would have it pure hardhouse from start to finish. What does that say to Mark is it and Richard, who put alot of work into the club for people to diss it week in week out because it's not hard enough, Harder doesn't always necessarily make its better. It has its time and place and Promise is not a hardhouse club so why change that. If people dont like the club for what it is, then why do they even go there.

You can't re-create one club somewhere else, If they want Sundissential so damn much then they should go to Sundissential for it and travel, don't change the foundations of the club. Change everything about it and people won't know what to expect and won't bother turning up

Unlike other clubs people often come to promise regardless of the dj because their usually garuanteed a good night, it hasn't got the snobby attitude a lot of british clubs have.

People will come for the dj's but they also trust the clubs judgement and come regardless of who is booked as they expect a good night... In a similar way to good greef, GG rely on strong residents and a strong reputation to pull the crowds they rarely put on huge names.

The promise crowd is similar, the only dj's who tend not pull a crowd are past dj's who've underperformed or over used dj's who people are getting bored of.

A couple of big name dj's like the tidy boys would in my eyes pull a crowd while at the same time not be to distant from the promise sound/atmosphere....

As for whether mark/richard would consider - only they can make that call :D

this DJ is shite. if a DJ can only entertain 50 people out of 100, then hes in the wrong profession.

DJ's are there to entertian the masses, not just to entertian half of them, and its a matter of opinion, obviously in the 50 ppl who enjoyed his sets eyes he was good, but in my eyes, if he plays 50 crap tunes, then hes shite.
