because there are loads of better clubs that would be interested in him if he became available and i dont think he would like to step backwards at this point in his career.
aye its a good point, although if he came on the marketi would expect man u and arsenal and possibly liverpool to at least have a look at him. dont think chelsea would need him... if the bigger english clubs decided against a bid then i would expect teams like toon, boro etc to have a cheeky bid. couldnt see him going to italy but i think he would be suited over there if he was fit
teams like spurs, villa, bolton are all more attractive to players than newcastle are anymore. nobody wants to sign for a side that plays boring football.
