i took it on holiday a few years ago, was canny good, some funny stories, goes a bit off track towards the end, too much detailed information about " i fly here, picked this up, flew back there, etc... " got to the end though!

Aye im looking forward to some of his 'less intense' books - I love his writing style and look forward to a more leisurely subject matter - Being a huge travelling fan they should be great :)

just finished reading 'whatever love means' by David Baddiel, now reading 'Blast from the Past' by Ben Elton.

Ive had 'A short history of nearly everything' in my bedroom for abuot 2 months now and still havent looked at it (part from looking at the cover and thinking it may be too much for my little head)

shud i read it next? or shud i stick with the love/fucking stories?

I used to enjoy reading Tom Clancy but they've gone downhill since he moved away from the Jack Ryan Novels and started letting others write under his name (whats that all about anyway??!?)
Just read The Taking by Dean Koontz for a complete change but not that impressed. I need to get back into military/political/techno thrillers. Can anybody suggest any decent authors??

Currently on my reading agenda is "Fundamentals of The Physical Environment", "People, Place, and Space" and "Reimaging the Urban"....I hate university :(

Though I've got Dan Brown's "Deception Point" which I'll start as soon as I get a spare minute! Read "The Da Vinci Code" which was class, as well as "Digital Fortress" which was also class (Both Dan Brown books)

Ruth...pick The Da Vinci Code up and you won't put it down til you finish it! His books are, like Jambon says, predictable but the fact that they are kind of based on facts make them excellent reads  :)
