Im pleased i dont gamble to be honest altho have with my life a fair few times over the years but thats a diff story.

I know for a fact once i got started i would be hooked, i used to with Fruit Machines when i was younger and blowing all me part time job money in them.

It fucking ruins some people, marriages / homes and even lives.

I was the don of SKYBET but got out while I was about £400 up, at one point I was up approx £800 but I started betting on football games all over the world, American Football (Gridiron) accumulators, cricket, in-play betting on any game going. Just knocked it on the head, still bet about £10 every now & again at the match if the Q aint big & do a darts bet with few people at work £3 per person.

My biggest problem is when I am pissed & I have about £19 in change in pocket I end up launching it in a bandit & walk away with £2.40 + 60p bonus & I happy with that because that £3 is won :spangled:

Gambling is shit. Australians love to gamble, pubs here are basically betting shops - full of pokies (bandits, 20+ a pub), little betting kiosks and all sorts of weird bingo games (Keno for eg) on TV all day. You're lucky to see any sport in the pubs.

We live in a fucked up society where a man can go down the betting shop and gamble his families life savings away, completely ruining his families future. He's given sympathy and help. Yet if he's hooked on heroin or whatever he's considered a criminal and probably has drug related convictions on his record tarring him for life. Both are diseases.

I won £50 on a £1 scratch card the other day, besides the odd scratch card when i need change for the bus or what not i only really spend about £3 a week on a footy accumulator.

I once won about 86p on a 2p machine at redcar beach's amusements mind.

I can imagine how long that took to pay out!!! Was it the OXO bandits?
