Music`s for sharing !,,there`s people getting there houses blown to pieces in parts of the world, to begrudge someone downloading music for free to get through the times is Bullshit !!

The best nights Ive had in the last year have been at free parties/raves, the attitude of people that attend and organise these events is what makes it for me the banter is top notch :king:

My thoughts exactly. Everybody is whingeing on about a kebab shop in the Bigg Market not being allowed to play music, when none of you probably even go in there.

yes I know Rio has massive problems and that we are better off financially but that doesn't mean we should be complacent about our freedoms. Because other places are worse doesn't mean everything here is ok. And they sure as hell know how to party better than we do.
it's the way these laws creep up a bit at a time, never enough to cause protest or unrest. But then you look around and your freedoms are gone.

I can remember organising a party in the mid 80's with 800 people in a warehouse (the Cluny when it was still a ruin) We called it a private party and there were no restrictions, no licensing laws apart from booze and the only thing the police could do was close us down if there were complaints about the noise and we could argue back about that.
no Criminal Justice Bill, no noise regs, no health and safety, no Licensing Act, No council noise inspectors.
We had an enormous time and hurt nobody. What was wrong with that?

and yes, people seemed to have missed the point completly.

it's not the fact that munchies was playing music, no matter how loud - but more so the fact that the local governing body has decided to stop it because it was deemed 'unacceptable' when its blatently just light hearted fun that hasnt hurt anyone in anyway.

Mitchell, i'm sure people are aware that we're better off than people in 3rd world countries or what ever you consider as 'worse off than us'. that's just stating the obvious.

the fact is (and yes - it's pretty much become a fact over the past couple of years) that control is going overboard and people are starting to get annoyed. what is wrong with showing a little bit of concern?!

    Forks Rocks.

Its a shame tens of millions of people had to die in WWI and WWII for liberties that have within a matter of a few short years, all been taken away from us.

Welcome to the new 'free' world.

this mornings installment is that a new law is being brought in that ISP's will be required to report illegal file sharers to a new "Rights Agency" who can then fine them

Virmin Media are already starting to 'ban/limit' certain websites AND from next year will be banning certain programs from running on the network i.e. torrent applications, P2P applications - and they're not the only ISP doing this.

and we all moaned about China's government restricting access to the internet

they don't half come down hard on people stealing music & films but ignore things that are worth while banning - like child porn, etc
