FYI- one of the reasons we started doing Crispy was because all three of us who DJ for it were really really not feeling the whole minimal thing- I do like some of the influences from it that other people are using at the minute, mainly in the proggier stuff, d nox and beckers, dousk etc etc but we have never tried to be another minimal night. It bored me to fucking tears for the better part of two years and stopped pretty much all of my favourite djs/producers playing and making interesting music right across the board- From lawler to kanzyani, deep dish, umek, etc etc As far as people not booking big name techno DJ's in newcastle anymore is concerned- watch this space
