now before people assume, I do not believe that the bible is complete factual writing nor am I a religious person.

religion has existed in many forms since man has... so to say it was created as a control is stupid. I would agree if you had said it had been used as a control... it has been and still is, but that is not most religions true aim.

Geoligical records (and I have also studied geology) show a flood event that occured before the exact date of noah's ark. This was a flood where the ocean flooded the black sea around 7,600ya.... it is also recorded on an ancient stone tablet discovered in Nippur, Iraq where a man and his wife apparently escaped a flood, possibly the beginnings of the bible story or coincidence... naoh's actual ark was supposedly found on turkeys border with iran but this is unproven as turkish authorities will not allow excavation in the area.

Do a google search or search a journal library and you will find vast amounts of literature on any of the above... my point is that it is not just some bullshit someone decided to write one day, at the most its true at the least its a load of fairytales, legends and ancient folk stories... you get my point?

I think religion is a load of bullshit thats there to control people, the only religion I have respect for is Buddism because there belief's are nothing like any other religion.

all religions are as bad as each other... when practised correctly and peacefully i have respect for them... pity a lot of religious people dont know how to do that.
