    Agreed there.

Out of all of the castle/beach/field raves Ive been to over the last 5 or so years theyve been the best nights out Ive had by far, miles better than going clubbing. Tend not to listen to the music that much but spend half my night cracking on with some of the most interesting and diverse people Ive met. Everybody is there for the same reason and theres no pretentiousness at all. Way it should be.

i've always liked some uk garage stuff, it's got alot of similarities to jacking chicago stuff,
alot of the americans lot love todd edwards, derrick carter's been known to drop some mj cole stuff and him and sneak hammered the early basement jaxx things,
I remember when joey youngman was on at shindig he was really excited to be playing before tim deluxe cos of the double 99 stuff

I love the way you always manage to bring threads around to discussing raves james

    A mans got to have a hobby.lol

Just trying point out as you are that they is still loads of good garage 2-step bassline about the burial album being a case in point.

Personally I cant stand the majority of UK garage tunes, basically just 2 step R&B! US garage is alright but thats only because its pretty much house music, nothing like this bassline garbage!

What you mean Bassline house its sounds like double 99 rip groove but a more modern version.

The cool kids call it niche anyways.

They are some serious bass heavy 4/4 tracks coming out of the niche scene.

the genre 'niche', has been round for a while now. been used in manchester at least 3 years. Aparently that ripgroove track that was on one of the miami most rated oacks a few years ago was classed as early niche, but its clearly garage.
Who cares though, its annoying, and just another example of shit british music.
    rant over.

Archangel (and loads of that album) is so blatantly garage....its just branded as Dubstep to add more credibality.
