    a vast proportion of the vote in america is bible-belt god bothering christian fundementalists... they all love bush and swallow anything that their gullible leaders tell them. its a different country with a different social factors. if the ethnic minorities voted en masse it could be different. plus the state votes are somewhat misleading...

    you could argue that many tories are middle-class reserved christians, but its not enough to tip a vote singlehandedly.
