Ban smoking in public?

Thats a very true point actually.

Ignorance is often the problem though, alot of people don't realise the nasty side effects some drugs can have, so don't give it a second thought

If you take a pill or have a line or whatever you are not damaging the health of everybody around you, taking a pill isnt gonna cause the person next to you to have Cancer is it !!!

Saw a program saying if smoking was discovered now it would be made illegal, but they its been around for that long now and the gov make that much money from its tax they will not make it illegal now !!

Stopping people smoking in public places wont stop smokers going out thats just rubbish they can smoke between bars etc if they want one, they are hardly just gonna sit at home and not go out anywhere just cause they cant smoke in a bar and if they did thats very sad !!!

But you cant exactly walk out the front of Foundation at 1 in the morning have a cigarette and then walk back in. Saying "go outside" isnt always practical

i may have to do that in a year or so's time!!

if i have to do - so be it! no-ones forcing me to smoke - and i certainly don't want to inflict it on anyone else. but there some proper 'pro-smokers' out there who will stamp their feet, shout about 'human rights and choice' blah blah blah that won't like it. who knows - maybe in 10 - 20 years it will be banned.

smokers can shout freedom of choice all they like, but by them smoking it removes the non-smokers choice of enjoying a smoke free area.

as an ex-smoker, i would definately say ban them.

you should be allowed to smoke cigars around xmas time though.

Dennis Leary (I think) gets a bit obnoxious when it comes to smokers rights. He's modelled his whole career round it.

even when i was a smoker i couldnt stand going in restaurants where people were smoking around me...and smokey pubs give me a headache!

ur a bloody hypocrite...im not allowed to smoke tabs near you but ur allowed to:chill: around me and im allergic to it! it will kill me a lot quicker than my tabs will kill u! u stop smoking and the like and i will!

actually, i guess banning public smoking wud b a good idea, cos i want to quit and cant cos i have to be surrounded with it every time i work and its too much for this weak willed little girl to handle! gonna have to quit soon nehow cos im gong back to live in darlo and my mummy still dont know im an evil smoker.
