Realistic yer reckon, the only places i've known him play in the uk are basics and the classic parties at the end. I was thinking more along the lines of Elliot Eastwick, Inland Knights, Chris Duckenfield, James Holroyd, Harri, Domenic Capello, DJ Q, Emma, Digs&Woosh, Luke Solomon, Justin Harris, Kenny Hawkes etc
I'll have a word about Farina with the lads down there and see if I can get a price. OK des carter's from Chicago, but he only really broke in the mid-nineties. Plus he's more in a main room price range and Newcastle would need to ship in extra supplies of Vodka or Tequilla. He should still be forthcoming at Shindig in the new year though. Si - I'll forgive you just this once, Kerri wasn't down to me, u have Mark to thank but in my opinion right now Robert is a mile and a half ahead of him. You'll understand when he starts singing!
this was back in march, 2nd birthday nite I think. was good 'scuse me ignorance (again ) but what all this bout him being me friend business???
If you're thinkin of booking american djs please, please, please try and book JT Donaldson. Apparently he's coming over in the first couple of weekd in March next year. Other american djs i'd love to hear - Brett Johnson, East Coast Boogiemen, Jonene
Reposted from another board regarding a recent set of Robert Owens'. Robert Owens was really bad and he played shiny disco balls, robbie rivera-sex, junior jack-thrill me and a awful bootleg version of plastic dreams the only good song he played was i'll be your friend.
spoke to rob about said night and he said it was one of the worst of his career! He lost his records and had to borrow what he could as the promoter was getting a bit edgey
Sounds like he borrowed Marshall Jeffersons' records. Heard him for the first time a few weeks back and he played most of said tired records.
thing with the Chicago guys is they have such a big name!! that people expect them to be amazing!! To be fair tho i saw marshall jefferson at nice and he was decent!!!
yeah Marshall is pretty standard. He's also a bit too arrogant for his own good... ....and fuckin stinks.
Nice 2 meet you by the way Simon, shame it wasn't busier, had a decent soundsystem, etc. Have yet 2 give cd a proper listen...
