    Re: Re: Re: attitude problems

I'd say the attitude and presence of a DJ can help create atmosphere.

Sasha is certainly one that commands a massive presense and has attitude. Many say it's arrogant - I don't, he just like doing his job right and he does it very well.

A DJ not accepting your fridge magnet doesn't constitute arrogance. That's sour grapes. :p

    Re: Re: BALLS

hi there, ok im new to this i only put posts out when i think there actually worth replying to!
1st thing that grabs my attention about this is the fact that mark maitland was not even playing at the time!!!!!!! 2nd thing was that she was'nt trying to take a photo of mark maitland!!!!!

Now before u say im jealous and all the usual crap that goes with this thread as i have read through it, im not. I have no interest in D.J'ING i go purley for the tunes and to have a good time. NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS.

It seems to me that the only people who are all for this mark maitland are either good friends (and we all know how back stabbing they can be) or people who are affraid to say what they think?

Maybe d.j's do need balls infact they do (especially if they are guys) but they caertainly dont need an attitude problem that makes everyone in the crowd think he loves himself, it may grow out of him later after it all dies down abit but its still no good!

All so i got 3 photo's of yoji when he was playing, and while he was playing. guess what?????? He didnt tell me to F**K off, he actually posed for them and i think yoji is a much bigger name then mark maitland, although maitland probably dosent think so.

Another thing that i noticed, somebody has said that 2who would like sweaty little pilled up freaks in there face" or somthing like that! Well those little freaks make a d.j's career, so u want to be a d.j, u got to love the little freaks that follow u!

Also as all the people replying to this post apart from a few actually know him thats all fair and well! but the posts agreeing with the original one seem to be from people that dont know him!
now if hes projecting an attitude problem that nobody likes, can u imagine him at crasher or somewhere big? nobody's gonn know him there! there going to see the same as everybody else!!!!

    Re: Re: Re: BALLS

The difference is Mark works for promise Yoji doesn't... mark knows your not meant to be clambering over the railing - Yoji doens't.

When Promise have big name dj's playing, the last thing they need is sweaty pilled up mmunters (regardless of whether they are the punters or not!) clambering onto stage and knocking the needle flying/distracting the dj/making the place look ugly ;) Also for the record Yoji and other dj's don't want you climbing over the railing to take their photo/shake their hand - its a massive distraction - wait till their set has finished. Why should you one sweaty pilled up munter ruin it for the rest of the paying customers?

Mark probably could of phrased it better - but the girl shouldn't of been there and he probably saved her getting a bollocking off the doormen :D

Yes mark has a little attitude, but he will give everyone the time of day as he's an extremely friendly person - just don't expect attention if your pulling the railings down in an attempt to get a photo of your idol.

Can someone check all these IP's and make sure I'm not replying to the same single person with sour grapes :D

I hate it when people hang round the DJ stand - Crasher is terrible for it. The real fans are on the dancefloor not constantly in the face of the DJ

ummmmmm like i said, she wasnt taking a picture of him (since when has anne savage worked for promise? part of being a d,j is having photo's took, your more like a public servent then anything else, not a KING ordering people about. we were only metres away from it and my girlfriend thought it was shocking. I on the other hand thought it was something else!
They have rules put them up on the stand for people to SEE...

I am a practicing law student aswell and can quite honestly say that if i was the girl further action would have been taken! If they dont want people to take photo's are go near the stand put a sign up thats easily noticed and read clearly!

Also if mark was such a nice guy why didnt he just ask her to stop! instead he used abusive language and tried to push her away! what if she had have been pushed? worst come to worst badly injured?

count yourselves lucky that dj's are only rude to you. many rock performers have spat or thrown various nasty liquids into their audiences. :D

and to someone who said 'pilled up freaks' are what makes a dj's career and that they couldn't do without them, i think i speak for the majority of us when i say... FUCK OFF BACK TO WHERE EVER YOU COME FROM.

    have you never seen to a live act before? Whether your at Promise or Reading fesitival, if you try to climb onto the stage you will be restrained/pulled down/pushed away... The stage is for the performers not the crowd... As a legal student you know fine well you wouldn't have a chance of winning any legal battle as all he did was tell your friend to fuck off.

There was clowns doing it at Deep Dish. Getting punted up by there mates to shake hands and annoy the DJ's whilst in the middle of of a complex mix working the WHOLE crowd.

I nearly lost it when one spangled helmet nearly fell on my missus. Sonic > she might have been injured!!!

ok i'll put this in lamens terms for you, it obvious u dont understand the point im making?

On numerous occasions people have gotten many photos my being on somebodys shoulders ( which the girl was ) she wasnt actually climbing all over the stand! There is no sign anywhere saying not to! There is nobody there to tell you not to! so if its the rules and they dont want anybody to do this have security at the front, put a barrier up or at least a NOTICE!

The main point i was suggesting is: if he is such a nice guy, why didnt he just ask her to get down instead of using abusive language to her????????

Rules should be clearly stated if what your saying is true! dont think.

Seems like you all come from the same gene pool, i think this post started out as just a discusion, but as i see people are actually using abusive language back to one another some are trying to turn it into more!!!!

in that case you should also know that it would be impossible to bring such an action. if the girl was attempting to put herself in a dangerous situation she would have to of proven that mark had used un-reasonable force, and exactly how are you going to do that? when..

    a.) he is an employee.
b.) preventing someone from doing they are not supposed to be doing as it is dangerous.
    c.) doing his job.

nb. his use of language would be deemed as quite appropriate given the nightclub situation, and the capacity for many people to be intoxicated. as this would provoke the desired reaction from them.

i would actually argue that mark had acted quickly to prevent the girl recieving a much more serious injury had she persued her course of action.

per by any chance have you been reading cases involving car parks and signs??? please stop spouting basic 1st year legal crap and go do some background research before you make any more ill judged comments.

utter bollocks, all putting a sign up might do, is to limit the liability of the club if someone injured themselves or caused damage to another person engaged in said acts.

you do not have to put signs up to tell people how to behave sensibly!!

utter fuckwit, i hope u never pass your law degree i work with enough cretins as it is already.
