McGraths damaged ligaments in his ankle and will miss the third test, his tour is in doubt also as they fear it might keep him out for the duration of the tour.

Gile's record over the past 18 month is not outstanding at all. Strauss has started to look good against Warne, just not his fault Warne turned it square!

HE has consistantly taken wickets and hit runs and made a massive contribution over the last 18 months. Dont know what people have against him, Jones i can understand but Giels has done a hell of a lot for the team

Dunno like, the Aussie's have some excellent young rapid bowlers in their tour party.

But the Old Trafford pitch will turn square so they'll be playing two spinners in warne & macgill

I think Giles will do well at old trafford, Macgill is ok but without Mcgrath and Lee they have lost there two best seemers which must give england the advantage

Also reverse swing will play a big part at old trafford so i think hoggard will have fun

Hoggard isn't a reverse swinger of a ball, he swings it away naturally. Flintoff, Jones and even Harmison are the reverse swingers.

Drop Jones and bring in Collingwood! He's good with the bat and he got a few wickets in the ODI's!

    Drop which jones???

Also Collignwood is not in the squad for the next test, and i would DEFO not drop simon Jones, who i think you on about and not our wicket keeper, Jones is gettign better and better all the time and mile better bowler than colly

    simon jones.

Just don't like him! We've been struggling for runs apart from the 407. Collingwood could give us another option! he can also take wickets!

Simon Jones is a good bowler, he is just too inconsistant with his line & length at the moment, he's bowling too many half trackers.

I would probably drop Simon Jones for the Old Trafford test though and play two spinners, Giles & Batty.

I would not drop a bowler for a batsman, i dont think colly is good enough to aussies in a test match, I would drop him for batty tho just for old trafford, But when Jones finds his line he is class, he will come on loads over this series

Although old trafford is traditionally a spinners wicket, there's talk of a fast track being prepared for the england seamers, last thing england want is play on a wicket that will give warne and macgill -the two most prodigious spinners of the ball in test cricket a chance.
