Does this mean we will get a foreward thinking house, electro and techno night at foundation rather that the same poeple booking the same names all the time.

The riverside was a much better venue than foundation and in my eyes newcastle has gone backwards musically since it was converted.

Still have had some great nights in foundation and hopefully will again with some new promoters stepping in to give it a kick up the arse.

Exactly my thoughts! Its the reason i love going there so much. It just fits in with the music. I'll be really gutted if Promise leaves there. If it does, i hope the new venue can rival Foundation.

I wouldn't like Promise to be on Saturday, but thats only my personal opinion. You're not going to please all of the people, all of the time. Some will prefer Friday, some Saturday, depending on individual circumstances. It'd be interesting to see what happens tho.

How successful has Godskitchen's move to Saturday been? The main room was empty a few weekends ago. Fair enough, thats weekly but the same problems would occur. These being having one less day to recover, limited public transport (The first train to Manchester from Newc on Sunday 26th June is at 8am, thats a four hour wait if Promise finished at 4am. Whereas the first train on Saturday morning is 4.35am.). Then you'd have the problem of being up against Gods, Shindig, Goodgreef (if it remains the last Saturday of the month) etc.

Of course, you'd have more time beforehand to travel to the club which is an advantage.

I'm just not sure really. :spangled:

I'm getting a bit sick of Foundation as a club to be honest, not got a problem with the nights they put on though.

I think the general layout of it's naff.

nothing really to do with Promise but ... there was a romour once that the ODEON was gunna be a new nightclub ?

i love Foundation me, where it is, everything !
As for it being its poky hole ..*cough* its ours and is in newcastle.
not fussed if it was a Friday or a Saturday opening for Promise. Foundation shud open on Sundays imo with something like an underground thing, competitions n tryouts for every potential DJ also evryone can catch up etc , heehee Human Traffic carry on's.. like oredering pints of Vodka :) .. early finish for those working and cheaper drinks. Massive warm up's and lineup's with loads of lads playing from late afternoon or just playing tunes off cd's nah wat a mean, thats what they do in Ledgends well did on sat 29th b4 LAB4 came on ...with my idea lol being a scilent success there might be an odd possibility big DJ's will wanna come ... but heres to dreaming and slightly exagerating mebies :groovy: ... money in it?

#you never make me love you more#PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!:D
