Hence I haven't eaten things like cod, monkfish, swordfish etc for years.

The farmed meats that I have a problem with are battery chickens and some pork/bacon etc. I buy free range chicken and pork instead. I used the battery chickens as an example - it's methods like this that I disagree with. Sheep are a different matter, as they live in more 'natural' conditions.

Nets can't tell the difference between Cod and Haddocks... If there are regulations on cod the dead cod get thrown overboard so that they can catch more Haddock.

I do buy free range! I didn't say I wanted to eat hunted wild animals, I said I would rather eat something that had lived in the wild and been killed than a battery farmed chicken.
