I think Rob is right, sometimes a change of direction gives you new motivation.

Hehe - worse thing is that i have the cushiest job i could dream for, and i more or less have no quibbles about going to work or anything..

... Just the thoughts of having to go through the inevitable 40 years of this before throwing in the towel... jeez...

Wierd aint it.. Society spent the best part of 17 years from the age of 4 to 21 drumming into me the importance of getting an education, dont do this, dont do that, study for this, blah blah blah...... now, im here... NOW WHAT!!!!

i don't get why you're down if you like your job?

If you don't fancy 40 years of this then why not leave and go elsewhere. There is a whole world of diffrent lifestyles, i'm sure some of them may be more to your liking.

    :)

Too trapped in this society unfortunately....

A strategically placed lottery win would help right now.

    Keep on trucking!

Life doesn't get me down too much. People do sometimes. It seems you spend all your time being nice to people and some of them just treat ya like shit for it. If anything everyday life can take your mind off shit like that...

Of course life can be shit at times, but there's almost always something to make it great just around the corner! It's just that some corners are further away than others.

I have often thought about life like you have bird. There must be something better than working for 40 years, etc.

If I hadn't become a father at 19, then I would of defo of went exploring the world. I wish I could now, but I have to stay here and support my son, I couldn't live with myself for missing his childhood.

At the end of the day, I have lots of things to look forward to, suppose it's what keep's us all going.

Re: Re: Anyone ever get sick of life?

    lol - i finished university 3 years ago.... :D

It would be nice to get up and leave - but the pressure is on from all angles to conform and do the standard few things

    a) get on property ladder
    b) get married
    c) have kids

As much as its easy to say "up and leave" ...... it gets so much harder once your in what society would call a "good" position to be in .... kinda feels like a trap eh.

Ah well - shit happens eh ;)

i still having trouble sometimes working out whether you're pretending to be stupid just to get people off their guard, pretending to be stupid because you can't be bothered to think and want someone else to do it for you, pretending to be outrageously stupid to hide the fact that you actually don't understand what was going on, and really being genuinely stupid :D
