The fans were no more loyal or proud of there team than any of the relegated sides.

Pompey fans were easily the Premierships best fans, the UK's second best. :D

he's gotta go where he can do well though... plus an assest in money terms for the club. I don't think he would have relished leaving leeds. ALSO i did read he waivered his transfer fee outta respect for the club

    now THATS a fan.

Sorry but a fan would not of gone to the Scum.
When asked on soccer am if there was a club he would not go to he said man u. Big turnaround as soon as there interested he never wiaved his agents fee of £75,000.
Then he went to them he could gone to other clubs he put himself first end of.

If your Scum don't come Back.

Smith waived his loyalty bonus which was meant to total approx £1 mill.

Thats why ManUre say the deal is worth £7mill to Leeds, as the paid £6mill & Smith save Leeds £1mill

Fair play its the least he can do.

He knows he burn't his bridges though unless he comes back on a bossman. Or works as double agent in the Death Star (Old Trafford).

If your Scum you won't be back.

    Fans delay Smith award decision

Leeds fans have still to decide whether to invite Alan Smith to receive his Player of the Season award at their annual dinner next season.

Should be a good gig if Smith does turn up:lol:

Don't be so narrowminded. i'm leeds thru and thru, yes the rivalry between leeds and Man u is legendary - and it was sickening for him to go there - but he wants to do well in his career - can u blame him? is it his fault leeds went down? u could argue he had a part in it - but he has to do whats best for him at the end of the day.

he was faithful to leeds and did everything he could - not like fucking bowyer. he's a turncoat scumbag (in my opinion). i would still applaud Smith... at heart, he's leeds thru and thru too.
