but since you ask, heres my considered opinion on the matter

if you believe in discrimination and prejudice then yeah I'll protest that, if you believe in exploitation I'll protest that, if you believe in the white Englishman's God given right to be seen as superior simply for being white and english, then I'll protest against that.

If however you recognise that England has always been a country of imigrants, that 99% of the people in this country have ancestors who were imigrants, and believe that everyone deserves to be treated equally regardless of race or creed, then I'll shake you by the hand.

we already have about 50 white entertainment channels in case you'd not noticed.

We don't have white history month because virtually all the history we're ever taught at school is white english history from a white english perspective. It would take a lot longer than a month of teaching history from a black or any other perspective to correct this balance.

the million man march was a march against oppression, if there was a white equivalent in this country, then you'd be marching in order to keep your place in society - ie marching in favour of discrimination and oppression... does this make you feel good?

shouldn't you be asking yourself first why there is such a thing as 'the ghetto' (not really very applicable to the UK anyway) - clue in the US it's something to do with centuries of economic oppression dating back to slavery, and much of the violence and drug related gang violence of the last 30 years dates back to the CIA's covert operations to break the Black Panthers.

And the reason people might want to rewrite history is that the history we've all been taught has been written from a white anglo saxon point of view, if you want a realistic balanced history of the world then it needs drastically rewriting to incorporate all the other perspectives.

again you show your ignorance - racism exists in most races, however the racism that has most impact is racism from the race that has the biggest financial and political clout, which is us at the moment. On a global scale this might not be the case for that much longer if the chinese and indians keep going the way they are, come the day that they are the ones with the power you might rue the day you became a racist.

There is a difference between speaking up and using racism as an excuse to try and justify your wrong actions (e.g. black man beats someone up, police go to arrest him and are confronted with 'izit cos i is black?' type attitude' and yes this does exist)

At the end of the day, regular people can see that an absolute minority are up to this kind of malarky so avoid stereotyping.

I guarantee you have a mixed genetic make up, there are very few people unique to one race... If you wnat to find pure bloods you need to travel to isolated island tribes and even then they're very likely to have interbred with another race at some stage in their history.
