no ones treating it as a human, theyre treating it as it is... an animal. just because it isnt human doesnt mean it shouldnt atleast have the decency to die before some cunt rips the skin from its body. which these days is not neccessary at all.

I've seen many a zebra skinned by a lion in the wild... many escape with there hide hanging off their arse.

yet we dont bat an eyelid then.

I am an animal lover and that video made me feel sick... however the wests response to animal cruelty is insane; in 2003 the british public gave 271,000,000 to animal protection charities - which is sickening when we only gave 178,000,000 to disability chairities.

And its this humanisation of animals that I feel wrong... The very people who were sickened by this video are the same people that eat battery eggs while giving their £20 a month to the RSPCA.

Its a hypocritical and wrong culture.

Rastern culture don't place human value on animals, pets dont exist animals are a comodity... I'm not saying this is right or wrong.

But our way certainly isnt right.

I hope your saying this stuff just to stir things up a bit Joe coz if you're not you couldn't be more wrong or more ignorant. I would readily agree that most of the crap that happens in the world really is 'the way life is', even if some of us do hate pain and suffering - it happens. I think though, for a lot of us it's a question of need. Does a lion need to kill a zebra? Yes. Does a fox need to kill a rabbit? Yes. Does a crocodile need to eat humans? Yes, if you get in their way. Does a human being need to skin a cat, dog or racoon alive? Do they fuck! Whether you live in the east or the west of the world. Just because it can happen doesn't mean it should. Surely we're are intelligent enough to at least kill them first. Then we can say shit happens.

I don't think that really matters either. At least disabled people can live their lives without the worry of the Chinese coming to skin them. The majority of disabled people live very happy lives because they've lived with their disability all/most of their lives and adapted early on in life. A lot of those animal charities may include helping protect endangered species which is one of the most worthwhile causes you can donate your cash.

Don't worry Joe, I'm not having a pop at you. Just my opinions.

why should an animals life be valued?

Its far more horrendeous that habbitats are destroyed through lumbering reaking havoc on local ecosystems or that cod are hunted to near extinction... When held against these travistys the skinning of an animal is but a drop in the oceon.

Eastern countrys see animals as they are - a food/clothing source.... We attribute human qualities to them and turn a blind eye to wear our food comes from.

Most the people commenting on this thread are hypocrit... the man skinning that animal may be cruel - but he doesn't hide that fact.
