    They run faster & with pride the last I saw them stonk most nations @ the Manchester games.

    Well... he was only hope of a British meadal winner! So basically all british athletics died... now you got Kelly Holmes, so people pretend to like it again.

    only races worth watching are 100m sprints, and 110m hurdles, so I think Colin will be remmebered more than any Englsih athlete!

    With out even thinking that much I can remember names like Christie,Coe,Ovett,Edwards,Gunnell,Sanderson, Thompson,Foster

    You may not remember them as they are English & Olympic GOLD winners unlike Colin The Taff Choker:lol:

    Maybe with exception of Christie and Gunnell.. none of others were as good as Colin.

    Christie was on the gear anyways! had a bit of a nervous disposition If i remember correctly, couldn't wait til gun went!

    He always failed at the Olympics the one event every real great athlete wants to win there event at.

    I just checked the tickets out on ebay.. shocking! My ticket for Wales v England game was worth £14, and got offered £250 for it before game in the Prince of wales pub, no chance was I selling it!

    True - been here for 15 years now! Far longer than anywhere else. Which means I now support Newcastle as far as football goes, but stick with Wales for the rugby.

    Aye, don't matter then. I wouldn't want to come back up anyways... would be staying at home for two weeks.
