jesus, i worked full time last summer and worked in my local at weekends alongside it for about 6 weeks, just couldn't put up with it more, the shit money and always being tired. how did you manage it???
i worked in a pub and at borders during my time @ college last year - you get taxed TWENTY TWO % on BOTH jobs  fucking government grabbing wankers
Stamina! I used to work in the office from 8.30am to 4.45pm Monday to Friday, then straight to one pub on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 5.00pm to 11.30pm (and go clubbing afterwards on Thursdays and Fridays). I had Saturday off, would go clubbing on Saturday night, then on Sunday worked in one pub from 11.30 to 5.00, and the other from 7.30pm til 11.00pm. On Monday nights I would work in the second pub from 7.00om until 11.30pm. So, three jobs, with only Tuesday nights and Saturdays off, and three 15 hour days back to back. Did it for about six months.
If you can, get a self-employed 2nd job. Thats why I do and the beauty is you dont have to work certain hours every week. I DJ all around the region for people such as Ultimate Leisure, Fluid Group, etc. and its kinda upto me if I accept a shift or not. With being self-employed, you can knock your tax bill down quite a bit as well with expenses. I know it can be difficult to find a job which is flexible, but just worth thinking about
if i had a second job i'd feel like i have no life, its long enough working a 40 hour week. if i need extra cash i can work 4hrs overtime on a saturday and earn about £60 . i used to do it all the time, spesh on a sunday when it was £80. but i can never be arsed now cos its 7am - 11am
Greasy fish and chip shops, kebab shops, burger vans etc usually pay cash in hand. Plus free grub to!
trouble is if you are delivering for places non-legit they usually don't bother with niceities like car insurance for their drivers, and your own insurance won't cover business use.
