we know they are durable, but what joe is saying, and the rest of us, is that you dont buy them cos they are durable! its a silly reason! cos whatever decks u buy are gonna last for ages anyway, cos u aint gonna be throwing them round the room are u?!

the second part of your post is just odd...

Well i dont plan on throwing them anywhere but if i was t ever to trop them then i think there would be a hell of a lot more likely for the plastic casing on the vastex crack and brake then the hard casing of the technics

I know the other part doent make much sense but i really didnt understand how a console could be linked to decks as they progress in two different areas!

    1. Media type has evolved from cartridges to cds

    2. Decks evolve only in the hardware because the media type stays the same (i.e. vinyl)

Nit picking is up there with spelling corrections :D

cd players are constantly evolving you wouldn't buy a dated cd player - you'd buy a new one, you know fine well that arguement stands - your merely nit picking :D

As for the vestax casing... have u any idea how hard plastic can be?!?!? its hardly a kinder suprise :p

I trying to type too much too fast but if you want me to slow down then ok but I dont promise perfection;) :D

I think durability is one of the main features that set Technics apart from the rest

And yes I know how hard plastic is! not to hard compared to most things really!

Did you know that metal is harder then plastic??? Just wondering

anyway, are you likely to drop your decks?
    nope.....i dont think so....

so it doesnt really matter if they are plastic or metal...

    you think?

Lets compare say bullet proof plastic to say aluminium...

If plastic can withstand bullets I'd say it has a fair chance of surviving you dropping it...

    :p

Generally plastic on decks doesnt tend to be bullet proof but anyway if you want to compare with the actual materials used for both then I think you would find that the technics are far more durable!!!

    this is funny...

    yes, they are more durable.
    does it matter?
    no.

    why?
cos u are only goin to be putting them on a table, and putting records on they.

    conclusion
its not a reason to buy some decks.

    but
i would probs still buy technics.

    but
i would play on all the others before i boght them.

today is going very slowly @ work.

OK time to go geeky :D :D :D

The reason the pdx2000 is made of plastic is to prevent turntable feedback and rumble... While keeping the turntable to a minimum weight... The plastic is highly condensed ABS, so its just as durable as the metal technics...

Now stop talking shite bwoi :p
