    SVEN SAY's

"I think we will win this group, in fact we will piss it"

After saying that he the said:

"Well, another interesting one," he said.

"There is a mixture there of teams who we know quite well and those who we don't know so much about. Northern Ireland and Wales are our neighbours - I'm sure there will be a big atmosphere for those two games and it's good to have some short away trips.

"Wales were extremely unlucky not to get to EURO 2004 so we will have to watch out for them definitely. I watched some of their games, including the ones against Italy. Mark Hughes has done a very good job. They have some excellent players and will be a big threat, no doubt about it.

"England have played Poland many times in qualification for big tournaments, I know that but Austria and Azerbijan we have not played so recently. I will start watching some videos!"

Who the hell is Jim Boyce? and does he drink?

Irish Football Association president Jim Boyce described the draw as a "dream come true".

"I think this draw is the next best thing. I am just sorry we didn't get Scotland. But honestly England and Wales might have to do a little bit of worrying."

I wonder what the odds are for Northern Ireland to score their first goal since a blue moon against the English?

Apart from that a very good group

Poland - we always seem to get them in world cup qualifiers but shudnt pose a problem
Wales - Prob the hardest cos u know they will raise their game against us
Austria - May cause a few shocks but not against us
N.I. - No worries unless they can tempt George Best out of the pub
Azerbaijan - Dodgy away match but will easily beat them

    Re: THE HOTBED OF FOOTBALL

will they let anyone in to North Korea, or more importantly since FIFA care more about money than the Gatecrasher management, will they let any cameras in?

    Two points

A)Would any fans from the other nations want to go to North Korea
    &
    B) Would any TV company want to cover it

Re: Re: Re: THE HOTBED OF FOOTBALL

    A) could be a problem, u mite get in but u wont be coming out!
    B) Im sure it would appeal to five, they always seem to show the european games in obscure countries cos they cant afford the home legs

I think even 5 could afford the home & away legs in this group:
    UAE
    Thailand
    Yemen
    North Korea
