I agree with sloppy here, I would much prefer Richard to do a Nick Riley style trancey warm up. It would suit Promise much more I think.

I always find myself sitting down for the first few hours cos the music isnt really my cuppa, but thats probs cos im an uneducated and uncultured trance freak

I dont ming proggy warm ups, if you know someone like guy ornadel is guna come on afterwards. I also dont mind listening to it while sat doing work. On the other hand i woulndt pay to listen to Lee Burridge and Sander Klienenburg back to back for six hours! the word torture come to mind!

oh my god that nite was amazing it was one of the best nites of my entire life, you're mebbes rite the club mebbes did die but i was oblivious to it all me finks, i reckon sander k played a mint set that nite though.
in terms of the proggie argument i think that at the start of the nite its fine, it isnt even that proggie at times though is it, something like that is needed at the start of the nite i reckon rather than launching straight into the hands in the air/banging trance n stuff.
nope me deffo likes the prog at the start of the nite, it also gives a good build up to the main dj and gets everyone all geared up for whats to come by slowly progressing to more trancier stuff, and as for the prog for the main part of the nite i.e mr seaman, fair enough that mite not be to everyones musical tastes but there probs is a lot of people who love that kind of thing so i s'pose the club has got to keep a balance between them both in order to keep everyone happy. although it isnt really a balance though is it cos there aint really many proggy dj's that seem to be on at the mo and trance/hard trance is definitley the predominant in promise sound rather than proggy so we cant really complain can we....??!!! sorry if none of that made much sense by the way!!! xxx

thats wot i mean though...the style nick riley plays isnt bangin/hands in the air trance...its warm up/euphoric almost easy listenin style proper trance and it helps to build the nite perfect!

down with the prog i say!hehehe:D:p

Do you think clubs really need to be warmed up? I prefer for it to be going right form the start i.e. Red and Black 1
