You know fuck all about music and constantly make yourself look like a tit.

Hope this helps in your future career.

it's all personal opinion, how is anyone a tit for that?

everyone (mostly) has fond (see rose tinted in fact) memories of their own personal early clubbing / introductions to dance...

everyone in turn thinks it gets worse... when in reality it just changes, and the people get older...

those people trying such things for the first time will feel just as good as i suspect most did 'back in the day'...

more gangster money I think you will find

and the names that are now legends and cost several thousands of pounds wernt as expensive back then

of course everyone has their honeymoon period

but (a) the dance tracks back in late 80's / early 90s were infinetly better than thos being churned out now

    (b) there was a much more open minded and less fashion conscious approach to it

now clubs are just full of posers and trainspotters and scenesters
the whole rave scene sprang up in opposition to the poseyness and suit wearing and tie wearing townies going to the rubbish beer boy clubs

and back then no one cared what genre you were listeneing to it was all under one roof

there was also greater art to word of mouth promo, there were no messages boards or mobile phones

for me theres only been a couple of years that have come close .

to that of 89-91 period , the period 1996 and 98-99

    but none have surpassed it

the difference is in who the crowed are worshipping , what you have posted is a classic example of consumerism gone insane

back in the early 90's the crowd were more interested in the tunes rather than the dj that was playing

now it tends to be the other way round

I also didnt have to wade thru essays of tolkien esque proportions on posters and flyers back in 1992 to find out what was going down

all i needed was a flyer which said something like ORGASMA PART3 - with directions and I was there

withought that scene you wouldnt have had the prodigy who most people got into after fire starter

and keith flint used to dance like that - none of this cyber spaz dancing and ket vogueing

    (a) thats all personal preferance that, times change and so does the music, i cant really see trance and the harderstuff lasting for ever. you cant just flat out say "they're better" as matter of fact. its just wrong.

    (b) its sort of driven that way - i cant see people getting into digital with a baggy black and white stripey jumpsuit, can you? plus that again is the changing age we live in, people think in terms of "how cool am i?" now, rather than "suits are totally like gash, i dont even own a tie dude!"

    yeah, but it's 2007.

drugs are cheaper (to an extent), you can do wonderful things with CD's, internet is fantastic, sound systems are better, clubs are better... and the general experiance of clubbing is alot cleaner.

i wouldent mind being back then, however i wouldent give away the last 4 years of my life to anyone, and tbf i dont really like that old skool stuff that much anyway.

you dont worship somone that you just paid 20-25 quid to

and 15 quid is about 3-4 years too late dude.

but hey it was like a mark of quality: for 25 quid you knew it was going to be insane

    No they werent

There was an equal ratio of shit to quality as there is now...theres just more of it now.

It might have sounded more original back then but original doesnt always equal quality.
