Brilliant producers, they have done so many classic tracks and produced a lot of differents genre's....
A couple, not that many tho. Lister and co would have a fair bit I would imagine! Lister - Couldn't agree more!!!!
i listen to anything which takes my fancy really, from hh trance techno to prog, liking the techy sound in music at the moment tho tbh
In terms of buying vinyl I've really ever only bought techno (used to buy a bit of BXR/tech trance stuff when I first started). But I like to listen to all kinds of music - trance, funky house, hard house, even like the odd bit of dido every now and again! Depends what kind of mood I'm in, where I am etc...
i didn't know anything about any type of music until the last six years. until this point i didn't even listen to the radio as i didnt think i would like it (this sounds really freakish i know). when i first started listening to music i tended to like pop/indie (ie oasis /blur) and then i thought i started liking dance music when i listen to stuff like encore une fois; really cheesey stuff. i gradually found out more about trance type stuff, in particular system f, gouryella etc and absolutetly loved it. all my friends in leeds had (and still do) really bad taste and just like cheese generally; gradually my taste moved away from theres. i was never really big into HH despite my darude-like obsession with trance! over three years ago i also started listening to prog and funky house as well ( i remember loving the first subliminal cd). i started liking tech-trance picotto stylee as well, this also got me into proper techno around the start of my first year of uni (two and half years ago). i then started liking electro and breaks a couple of years ago, and drum and bass, hip hop (and not to forget aphex twin style crazy stuff) a bit after. i have always liked bits of rock music as well, gradually more and more as time progressed. nowadays when i go out i will enjoy so long as theres a good atmosphere, generally to techno, deep house, prog, breaks, hiphop etc at home i like to listen to a wider range of stuff; i like the 'going out' stuff a bit, plus rock, but also over the past year started to listen to jazz, funk, and a bit of classical basically anything except rnb
I started out with the usual cheese when I was younger, then discovered trance, which Ive always loved. I very much enjoy Techno & Prog these days too. Tbh, cant stand HH/House. My mind is closed - soz
Started with rave music back in 89-90 when i was a nipper, and stayed all that way through to hardcore / breaks stuff, then happy hardcore,... then a brief gabba spell, then ditched everything when i heard the ministry of sound annual 2 (pete tong / boy george) ... which i could only describe as "club house".... after that i went through the early global underground series till the superstar DJ's started hitting the scene - Oakenfold and Jules etc, stayed with that through to the whole "trance" thing happened and more or less stayed there till 2000 when i lost interest with the whole industry and scene for 12 months.... then came back to the whole trance thing when the dutch / euro dj's became massive back in 2001 (tiesto / avb / corsten) ... then stayed loyal to trance and prog....
lol too quote ZippyBoo its nice to go to a club where no one kisses ur arse nah I get the novelty under 40 years old treatment its embarrassing when someone older than ur dad can out dance you (and out snort you) the most eltiest scene there is
first love trance ---- then got into hardstyle a bit..... got a bit proggressive obbsessive then back to trance!!! wasted time and money trying new things... but ya gotta love the learning curve!
