Hackney is rougher than most of the single mothers on this messageboard put together.

Oh, there are plenty of pretentious twats in the area, but overall I don't think it's as bad as people make out.

Most of the pretentious twats don't even live in shoreditch/hoxton, so you only see them at weekends or on a night out.

It's actually pretty cheap where I am living mate, and it's a nice flat.
It's not cheap by Leeds/Sheffield/Newcastle etc prices, but for the area, it's pretty good.

I forget how absolutely spoiled we can be on the rent front up north! The person I was satying with down your end was paying 3 times my rent! Don't get me wrong the place was plush but jeez!
