Have listened to it and I'm wondering what all the fuss is about? Surely the essence of all good comedy is to shock and push the boundaries of what shouldnt be said?

I think it tells the tale that only two people complained on or after the original airing.

Once The Sun and the Daily Mail got ahold of it and added their usual brand of shite, it got spun out of proportion :(

The type of people complaining about it boil my piss. Pensioners grabbing every opportunity to have a moan and a whinge about 'the youth of today', without even realising that they're the most ignorant bunch of cunts in society.

    I despise pensioners.

Convenient how quick Gordon Brown and the Culture Secretary are to condemn things - probably to divert the Tories and the public away from more important things, such as their shoddy handling of the economy.

The jokes were in bad taste and some what puerile, Brand and Ross admit that themselves. Fair enough the BBC -have- to act in a stern way given all the coverage but it's only because of the inordinate level of attention the whole stupid story has generated.

Foyle MP Mark Durkan has signed a commons motion calling for Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross to no longer be funded by the licence fee.

"Rather than offering half-baked apologies they should have made a clear and straightforward gesture by either renouncing some of their own salary, or offering a very significant donation to relevant charities.

This could have included charities dealing with the issue of suicide awareness and prevention."

Fucking hell, this is getting to be pathetic. Yes - it was in bad taste, yes it was juvenile but this is taking it too far...

This is beyond a joke now. I could rattle off at least 5 recent programmes that have been much more offensive than this recently. Why they being made such an example of?

The BBC run a massive risk of loosing it's young audience here, it did go a bit too far but was hilarious, someone's had to resign over it & another is still suspended. The BBC need to grow some bollox imo, 2 complaints until the Express ran the story on them both, the news this afternoon said theres now been over 30,000 complaints - Bandwagon if id ever seen one.

Id love to see them both come out of this with more exposure & onto bigger/better things to give 2 fingers to the soft cock big wigs at BBC.

Look what happened with Kate Moss.... in demand more than ever now.

It's shit, there bowing down to what seems a more mature bias bandwagon complaint whilst totally fucking over their own stars instead of standing by them.

Ross is one of the biggest audience pullers for the BBC, id love him to tell them to fuck off & go to a competitor.

end of the day i think ross has got to the point that his shows attract that many viewers he could easily go to the other channels and walk straight into a multi million pound contract due to how entertaining his shows are, the bbc are in a shit position as they know how important ross is to viewer numbers but they can't undermine themselves so are stuck what to do. Serves them full right for being soft cunts and letting the media run off with the story, manwel wasn't even arsed aboot it!

*He gets £6million per year at the BBC.

*He'd get £1.5-£2m MAX at any other channel.

*He wouldn't dare walk on the BBC.

Newsflash! Russell Brand and Johnathon Ross were a bit naughty on the radio and said something cheeky to an old bloke who doesn't seem to give a toss anyway!

in other news in Eastern Congo the war that has claimed more victims than any other since world war two is reigniting with potentially horrific costs.
The global economy is plunging ever faster towards disaster.
Lord Mandelson and George Osborne are both dodgey as fuck so whoever wins there'll still be villans in charge
