Foyle MP Mark Durkan has signed a commons motion calling for Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross to no longer be funded by the licence fee.

"Rather than offering half-baked apologies they should have made a clear and straightforward gesture by either renouncing some of their own salary, or offering a very significant donation to relevant charities.

This could have included charities dealing with the issue of suicide awareness and prevention."

The BBC run a massive risk of loosing it's young audience here, it did go a bit too far but was hilarious, someone's had to resign over it & another is still suspended. The BBC need to grow some bollox imo, 2 complaints until the Express ran the story on them both, the news this afternoon said theres now been over 30,000 complaints - Bandwagon if id ever seen one.

end of the day i think ross has got to the point that his shows attract that many viewers he could easily go to the other channels and walk straight into a multi million pound contract due to how entertaining his shows are, the bbc are in a shit position as they know how important ross is to viewer numbers but they can't undermine themselves so are stuck what to do.
