Cos the majority of promise's punters aren't educated clubbers but people out for a good time... a lot of them wont know who mike is... and a lot of them don't frequent the club every week and last week was canny busy.

Not EVERYONE can afford Promise every week !

If i could id be there every week - i would not go when theres a DJ on that i dont like for example Picotto - as much as he is Big and loads like him i think his music is repetative and sounds like horses running non stop - i respect the fact that he is a DJ and he has done summit right to get where he is but he aint my cuppa !

Ur right bout MIKE - in fact there will be many a night in Promise when theres peeps in that hardly have a clue about DJ's or what tracks they have a hand in - if it wasnt for the msg boards id be clueless about certain clubs/dj's/events - the only way ive found out more about them is by lookin, spending time on ere n downloadin when AG was up n running - Promise will always be rammed when the likes of Jules / Fontaine / Van Dyk etc etc are on coz there what is classed as "Big Name" then when it comes to the likes if Hardwick 4 or shall i say 3hr set the club aint that busy which is a shame really - moneys they key issue in all this tho - i for one wish i could get out more but find it hard to make it past 1st weekend after payday !!

Originally I think people did just come for the big names like PVD, but I do think our ressies are starting to get recognition... Take guy ornadel - he's worked promise for ages now and has gained the respect of the locals friday was dead busy (I know it was most peoples pay day but they could of gone else where)...

I know I've said it for ages and I'll keep saying it but I do think Promise is slowely building a reputation for itselfand people are coming for more than just the big name dj's....

Ive been to see Ornadel a few times and id say out them all Fri was the busiest ive seen it when he has been on which tells ya summit - there is more n more peeps around that are wanting to go to Promise for the fact that they have heard its goin places - i dont think that given 3yrs ago the likes of PVD/MIKE/Bond would have been tempted to play here - there obviously doin summit right arent they and im not arguin !!

Looks like it's time for me to suspend my parental responsibilities for the night and make a comeback. Looks like I'm one of the few to have heard M.I.K.E. play, saw him at the Gatecrasher producers night last September and, I.M.O., he played the best set of the night.

Had such a mint time on Fri that I think it would be qutie mad for me to miss it this fri
