i have absolutely nothing to be happy about :(

i have a broken elbow sat in qe for 2 hours with lots of old biddies this morn waiting for a plaster got told they couldnt give me one and have the shittiest brown sling ever that is doing nothing at all. the tablets are making me feel really sick whic h i hate nd aren taking all the pain away. if it gets slightly knocked in the next 2 weeks im going to need an operation on it

i also have to be off work for 2 weeks getting no pay at all and no commission or anything, can only claim incapacity benefit which probz wont even pay for a packet of sweets and will take ages to come threw.

i cant do anything as its my left arm which i write with, cant drive, cant even fasten my trousers

am not allowed to go out where it is busy cos a slight knock will probably lead to an operation so i m going to be bored still and in agony for 2 weeks and have noone to give me sweet loving and make me feel better :cry2:

So, you're not happy that you didnt get a versace branded sling, you aren't happy that they havent given you a needle and a bag of morphine because of your sick phobia and only 90% pain relief, your one chance to take drugs under controlled conditions on behalf of the NHS should you hit your arm again is on the horizon but noooo u still won't see the bright side of things!

You're going to have 2 weeks off work to sit around doing sweet-fa, buy lots of penny chews because they are the best and believe me they're cheap (duh), get people to drive you around, can sit in the house naked all day, get people to goto the shops for you since you can't risk banging your arm and if you want some sweet loving just remind people that you just realised your trousers are still on.

;) Get well soon i'm only messing.

can i ask why you have to be off work for two weeks?

theres a person at my work how has a broken arm and he still comes in has done every since he did it, and he stacks shelfs.

what do you do thats so intensive oyu can't do it with one arm?

because of where the break is they cant plaster it so it isnt secure or anything. and any little knock that i might get is likely to move the cracked bone and need an op which i dont fancy. so ive been told not to leave the house to minimise all risk of getting a knock. plus i have to sit in front of clients and my boss doesnt want me in front of them with this sling thing that i have cos he says it looks bad.

its not as if i wanna take time off as i keep saying im losing out on all my wages, im listening to the doctor so i dont make it any worse because i dont think i could take much more pain, and last time i chcked you were a shelf stacker or something similar in morrisons so dont really think i should be taking medical advice from you

so you sit on your arse all day how exactly can you not do that with only one arm?

if your that bothered about your wages go into work and earn money. Your boss can't stop you from going into work.

Yeh i can't see why you can't go in if you want to, also your employer should give you ssp through your wages if the doctor has signed you off sick.

i dont want to risk knocking it on public transport getting there for starters.

i get paid on seeing clients which as i just said my boss wont allow me too.

my tablets that im taking are making me feel really sick and really really drowsy and keep falling asleep.

i have to fill in mortgage applications and i cant write at the moment, have tried with my right hand but it is illegible.

i am also in a lot of pain which is stopping me from concentrating on things

to be fair i wouldnt expect anyone go into work whilst feeling drowsy, sleepy etc etc, your a danger to yourself as you have a broken elbow, which you dont want to make any worse, and you could become a danger to other persons
