pvd is lightyears ahead of any other trance dj, when he plays well hes the only trance dj ive seen who seems to be able to control the crowd
ferry used to be good, now hes average, and tiesto ive never acually seen him play well yet :)

    some very valid points.

ferry does play a bit too much of his stuff, but to be fair his own stuff that he has been playing recently almost nobody else has like the new galaxia, who's knocking, thrillseekers mix of sublime and the new fischerspooner remix

he still gets a reaction from playing punk, why stop playing it, i know i wouldn't if i was him lol

everyone goes on bout carte blanche etc, these tracks really dont appeal to me as much anymore probably because theyve been overplayed, its more about the bass in music that gets me going i still go mental to pvds tracks even after canin them for that reason, pvd does that best and always will do, as people have said ferry played punk for years which gets boring and everyones reply was why change a good thing, so why should pvd change something thats worked for him for years.

long live the hard offbeat bassline i say :king:

yeh, but ferrys not even in the same league as he used to be, so comparing someone going off their past is wrong, ive never seen ferry play yet where ive really been amazed, sure he played well at global but he was playing all his OLD stuff, lol which says it all really :)

all trance producers productions are similar, they find out what gets a club going and stick to it, its just i prefer pvds style which is why i can forgive him for producing samey productions, because i love to hear them lol

fair play to Ferry for trying new things! all his techier productions are very well done imo. His newest one 'Cubikated' is awesome, its not always a good thing to stick to the same old. take Probspot for instance. over half of there stuff sounds the same and to be honest ive got bored of them now, same with Mark Norman. Producers should try new things and see where it takes them!

Ferry is a better producer by a mile I reckon, Van Dyk kicks his arse on the turntables although Ferry still aint bad:)
