I heard Selfridges had bought it but they have now pulled out of opening a store in Newcastle to concentrate on there London store, or so says the Journal last week !

That's the one, didn't think it was debenhams, but couldn't remember the right name. Didn't know they'd pulled out either. I reckon it'd be a mint venue for a club. Plenty of space, lots of dark n dirty corridors, loads of nooks and crannies. Could be amazing. Doubt the City would allow it though.

know what you mean, the dig could do with some real competition. Not sure newcastle's got a big enough market though, it's not as if shindig's always full.

I think it could be if they branched out on the DJ's they booked for Saturdays, i myself like the french stuff would love to see DJ Falcon or Bob sinclair booked maybe even Cassius, just something a bit different, like somebody said on another thread Promise is like shindig where they seem to just have about ten dj's they always book on a regular basis.

It's been going on for a while now! Can't see Sunderland getting a club night with decent line ups. It'll end up being a massive club with residents who play allsorts, the Uni's getting bigger so thats why there's more bars and clubs being open'd.
