Mr C. slags off clubbers and tells them to get some fashion sense!

I love the irony in the fact that his plea to the nerds posting on message boards was infact posted on a message board.

I disagree with him - Not everyone can stick out or put as much effort into clubbing as he would prefer.... its like he wants everyone to hark back to some mythical past that so many 'mature' clubbers seem to be using as an excuse for the fact that they simply dont fit into the scene any more.

Sub cultures like the club scene directly reflect exactly what people do or dont want to do in terms of how they dress, how they act or what feels right. I would imagine when everyone goes on about how magical ibiza was 10 years ago it was because thats what people wanted, made an effort for and were ready to experience.

Likewise we live in an age where clubbing gossip and music appreciation isnt done via some pirate radio station or a mysterious system of flyers posted on ring roads around major cities... its done via the internet and texting etc etc. Because of that, you'll get people who introduce themselves or meet other people using the messageboard they are part of or something else as a means of breaking the ice ... and thats because it reflects how people want to conduct their clubbing... I know i wouldnt know the number of people i now do from foundation and the like if someone hadnt introduced me and vice versa with the words "... from the board" in there somewhere.

Im sure there are massive numbers of people who do it more on a 'friend of a friend' basis and thats great... leave them to it, but at the same time it just sounds like a bitter man trying to make himself a few quid but at the same time trying to tell us how to do it at the same time - Its highly arrogant.

Having said that, I still highly respect the Man and i definately want to go to the End at some Point.... i'll leave my black skirts and moon boots at home though.
