    Sorry folks, cant come over.
    The cloud is at 2000 feet, which is fine for taking off and landing, but I cant get enough clearance over the Pennines!

    Damn those hills! Need 3000 feet, only got 2000.

    Sorry to disappoint, but I'd rather not slam into the side of a hill if you dont mind!

    BUT - in 1 months time I'll have my instrument rating which means I can fly ABOVE those pesky clouds! :D :D :D

    Soooooo................ to all those peeps I've promised a flight to, we'll do it next time, probably in August, OK ??

    Teeside Airport only have 1200 feet below cloud
    RAF Leeming only have 1800 feet
    I need 3000 to avoid slamming into the side of the pennines !

    Cheaper and quicker than parking in Newcastle man!

    £18 landing fee, and it cuts my journey time from 2hrs to 1 !!
