if thats the case why is it only one speaker cuts out? shud the hole system not cut out if its overloaded? sounds more likely the amp powering that speaker is over heating and the cut out is kicking in.

I think you'll find it is, when the system is getting pushed to hard it will cut out simple as that if it isnt getting pushed to hard it doesnt cut out, its never cut out for me cos i dont red line it, Frank was proper red lining it last week and it cut out on on side now and again, but you can hardly tell them not to can you.

Cant they just put a limiter on it so that as soon as you enter the volume level that is equivalent to redlining it, it stops getting louder

Defo, that speaker obviously cant take it when people are pushing the system, might be a dodgy speaker or something.

usually this happens when the power amp is set to low for the size of the venue so the DJ powers from the mixer to compensate. truth be known though this usually causes one of the channels on the mixer to go and with it half the speaker's in the venue, as a rule all gains usually must me set to a 12 o'clock setting on the mixer then the amp ,pre amp or graphic adjusted to set the right level! then this leaves room for adjust incase you have a low output from a track i.e a whitle lable or somthing like this , that way the mixer is never stuggling in the red. the pioneer's both 600 and 800 (im assuming one of these was used as per the norm @ a GG event) have this safty set up to shut down a dangerous chanel in them so by the sounds of what your saying it more than likely is a dodgy speaker with a loose wire going to the cone !

It's more tech trance really though, with exceptions.

If the speaker was fucked it wud sound shit all of the time!
It will be the amp that powers that speaker cutting out because it is over heating. Amps have a thermal cut off switch to prevent damage. That’s why when it comes back on after it’s cooled down it sounds fine. You can sometimes get around the problem by turning the amp down at bit, so its not putting as much power out, then it won’t get as hot.

If you want to go to where you (personally) think the music is best then you're going to have to categorise it.

There is a completely huge difference between tech trance and trance, so to make a comment about supporting a trance night is void, as it seems to be predominantly tech trance.

    bollocks

the best events are where all styles are thrown into the same melting pot

you wont appreciate this tho cos you think that there have to be sub genres, micro genres, categorising of styles etc

the majority of you have been weened from the super club generation so you think its always been like this

a good track / good music is good regardless of its genre

junior g , just as vuzz and promise before them will struggle to an extent as long as they continue to nail their colours to the trance, tech trance flag because a large proportion of their crowd are fickle by nature of their tastes or lack of them

I dont need to meet you to establish how much of a total wanker you are, you constantly associate being "cool" and going out.
