There is quite a difference between randoms showing up posting crap threads, but being available for debate and abuse (as you have done on the threads) and being able to ban people at will from another board.

that, i assume, was the point... it upped the ante.

you see, the vast majority of people wont go to the effort of signing up on gg to wind you up, but we still have to put up with gger's on here doing just that.

im not tarring you with that brush, but its been going on for ages now.

We used to have a similar problem with people from Gurn.net.

I can understand why you don't want people doing windups, (see post about virtual communities on GG board )

My objection is that the matter was not handled professionally by Powertext. If they want to stop GG people crossing over - then why approve our logins? Making a mockery of the moderation system on the GG board, using someone from your board to ban people randomly doesn't seem like a logical way of calming the rivalry, in fact it seems guaranteed to cause an escalation.

aye i used to post on gg when it was twinned with gurn, i remember a few idiots.

you have a point and thankfully its died down now, but hopefully we wont have any more wind ups and if any of you guys sign up you get a warm welcome
