Tall trees isnt shit, just depends on what night you go!!! Retro is in a legue of it's own and everytime is fabulous!

But if you dont like a good quality club, playing good quality music, and a good quality dj, with good quality friends.....then go and do what you enjoy.

fair play lad. don't imagine i'd have much crack at retro these days anyway. there were times when i practically knew everyone on the bottom floor of that place, and that is saying something when we're talking tall trees. good times. :)

yes, i agree. I miss it so much. I miss knowing about 30 people on any given night, I miss being able to sit in the back room and have some good banter with people you hadnt seen for ages, I miss Precious in the toilets, I miss filling my water bottle up, I miss being on the door and having crack with the bouncers, I miss the odd free drink, I miss going behind the DJ booth and dancing aboout, I miss the smell of having been to foundation on my clothes in the morning, I miss red stripe, I miss being able to dance around feeling so comfortably, I miss going upstairs when you got all hot downstairs, and getting reeet in to some brilliant funky moosic, I miss everything about it, and I have only been to digital once since it aaaal moved about, and from what i have heard i would rather not go back to foundation - im around students all day - why the fuck would i want to share the dance floor with a whole bunch of them?

i miss foundation, and dance nights there...

walking thru the doors, hearing/feeling the music hit your chest, coat in, voddy&shark, stand near the side, see so many people you knew... standing on the steps at the end...

it wasn't just Promise that had built up a following - it was foundation that had a following of punters... they've all gone their seperate ways now, people who u knew just from that place... a bloke called ALAN who i always talked to... i know he sometimes looks here but isn't registered.

    ahhh trips down memory lane

Its the nature of things like these to end or move on eventually, and leave memories behind.
