As far as I know, 'intimate searches' can only be done by the police. Any steward touching anyone where they shouldn't have can be done for assault. In fact, you don't even have to submit to a search, as if someone touches you without permission, again it can be seen as assualt. However, if you don't submit to a search you won't get in. Also, you don't have to submit to a search when you are inside either, you can ask to leave instead.
