what having a miscarrige before 5 or so months and having a funeral for the unborn baby that hadnt even developed into a proper baby yet..?!?!
its just propa strange thats all...it wasnt alive ni teh first place properly so why have a funeral??
its different if it died a month or too before it was born or if it died when the mum was giving birth...
the same way that u get these girls that have funerals for aborted babies...it happens and i think its propa sick

aw god i dont believe in having abortions anytime after 5 months definitley not!!
i just think its strange if someone has a miscarridge then has a funeral unless the baby was 2 or 3 months away from being born...
it must be horrific carrying a baby around inside of u and then it dying all of a sudden im not saying otherwise its just a bit strange having a funeral if you have a miscarrige...but as i said it all depends how many weeks the baby was away from being born...xxx

So how are parents who desperately wanted a child, only to lose it to a miscarriage, supposed to say goodbye? For many people a funeral is a way to at least begin to get closure. I don't think it is strange at all.

Exactly, its a part of the grieving process.

I would think the majority of woman that loose a baby at any stage of pregnancy feel they have lost there child not just a bunch of cells.

neither do i- the baby, no matter how developed is still a living thing

theres no difference between burying an unborn baby as there is a 90 year old

    I've been to one recently.

I didn't go to grieve myself as I'd never had the chance to get to know the life that had been lost, I just went to support the parents and I think that is why most people were there.

I think if a couple wish to have a funeral to their un born child that its only right for them to do so....no matter how long into the pregnancy! At the end of the day they still loved it even before it was fully developed and born - its thier way of saying 'Goodbye' etc

If a person decides to have an abortion and still wishes to have a funeral why shouldnt they? Theres all sorts of reasons why people get rid of thier babies and some dont want to but are forced...are they not to have rights to say goodbye too?

Its a really sad issue, especially when the mother still has to give birth! I cant imagine how they must feel!

Personally, if it was me i'd have a private funeral - but each to their own!
