A significant proportion of the populatrion have benefited from the minimum wage (it could be higher but a little is better than nothing) and there have been no knock on effects to the economy.

So in short while doing no damage to the economy it has helped a large nmber of people secure a decent wage... You may argue that companies lay off staff but I don't buy this arguement as on the whole we have a fairer wage system... However there is a long way to go till it is fair.

Security guards/cleaners etc only have to work approx 25hrs to make approx £100, before they would have to work approx 45 hours.

The mass price increases & mass uneployment the tories told us would happen when min wage started didnt.

Labour lost power for many reasons they were a semi-communist governement in a western world @ war with the left wing soviet union coupled with death old age and half his party resigning - Atlee was left with a dying party.... However no party this centuary has changed Great Britain in such a way that old labour did.... They revolutionised Great Britain.

haha, don't be silly.... Tony's so shit scared of doing anything that would piss off the CBI or the right wing press in case they turn on him that he's squandered the best chance we've had for half a century to do anything radical or real. Still sooner have him in power than the tories though, cos they're cunts

bring on Gordon Brown I say :D
